Daejeon is on the main KTX high-speed line and is straightforward to reach from Seoul and from Incheon International Airport. Accommodation information will be added to this page.

Rail

Travelling by KTX

Seoul Station to Daejeon Station takes about one hour by KTX. Trains run throughout the day.
Travel via Seoul. There is no longer a direct KTX service from Incheon International Airport. The route runs from the airport to Seoul Station, then Seoul to Daejeon by high-speed rail.
Daejeon Station is the stop for the conference, not Seodaejeon. The KAIST main campus is about twenty minutes further by taxi.

Getting around Daejeon

Daejeon Metro Line 1 links Daejeon Station to the Yuseong university quarter, where KAIST sits.
Kakao T is the standard taxi application in Korea and can be used in English.

Daejeon has hotels adjacent to the KAIST campus and a larger concentration in the Yuseong hot-spring district nearby. Specific properties and rates will be listed once arrangements are made.
