Daejeon is on the main KTX high-speed line and is straightforward to reach from Seoul and from Incheon International Airport. Accommodation information will be added to this page.
Rail
Travelling by KTX
- Seoul Station to Daejeon Station takes about one hour by KTX. Trains run throughout the day.
- Travel via Seoul. There is no longer a direct KTX service from Incheon International Airport. The route runs from the airport to Seoul Station, then Seoul to Daejeon by high-speed rail.
- Daejeon Station is the stop for the conference, not Seodaejeon. The KAIST main campus is about twenty minutes further by taxi.
Local transport
Getting around Daejeon
- Daejeon Metro Line 1 links Daejeon Station to the Yuseong university quarter, where KAIST sits.
- Kakao T is the standard taxi application in Korea and can be used in English.

Daejeon has hotels adjacent to the KAIST campus and a larger concentration in the Yuseong hot-spring district nearby. Specific properties and rates will be listed once arrangements are made.
